Mission Statement

To unite and uplift the UK’s service and support communities, emergency, volunteer, blue light, civil service, and armed forces, by providing accessible adaptive sports. We exist to ensure that every hero who has served our nation, whether in uniform, in service, or in support, has the opportunity to thrive through adaptive sport. By breaking down barriers and building up confidence, we help those facing physical, mental, or neurodiverse challenges rediscover strength, connection, and joy.

Guided by respect, inclusion and courage.

Core Values

Inclusion – We welcome and respect every individual, embracing diversity in all its forms.

Empowerment – We help people discover their strength, ability, and potential beyond perceived limits.

Resilience – We champion perseverance, adaptability, and the courage to keep moving forward.

Respect – We honour the service, experiences, and dignity of every participant.

Excellence – We deliver safe, high-quality, and impactful programmes that make a lasting difference.

How are we going to achieve this?

Through the power of adaptive sports recovery

BLS will work alongside government agencies as well as local government organisations and departments, national and regional charities, national sporting governing bodies and community sports teams to deliver safe spaces, opportunities to participate in and excel in adaptive sports across a wide range of team and individual sports and leisure activities.

We recognise that not everyone will have an interest in adaptive sports, so we will also provide opportunities for communities to come together across a variety of hobby groups.
